Thru American Hose & fittings--Parker will make them at $18. 39 each-OUCH--we are researching yet another source as there is the remote possibility they do exist-otherwise I'll get the process started this week--It may take a month before I actually get them, so be patient and the price will hopefully be around $6. 00,whether this includes shipping or not I won't know until the shop gets all the info and can tell me exactly what they cost--they will be made out of steel--chris

I'm gonna have brandon to make me a kit too. I'm gonna stick with the stock lift pump for now, so I guess I'd need 5.

Count me in for a set too, Brandon.
BTW, why hasn't D/C's Northern California Zone Rep, Roy Edmark(?), who, incidentally is a member of TDR, got involved? There are not a few Northern California D/C Reps/Techs lurking here each and every day who could possibly have some imput on what D/C does to their future Rams.
Brandon's fuel-line delivery system is one of the most obvious solutions to the D/C fuel-line screw-ups that could be easily corrected in production.

Ummm... . Does anybody realize what the cost is gonna be on this? Assuming the adapters are $5 apiece, you need 90deg hose ends at $21 apiece, -8 hose at $60 for 10', and fittings to incorporate a gauge sender. The cost of putting the system together is going to be at least $200, plus overhead and profit, plus whatever pump you decide on. And in the end NONE of it does any more good than the already available and less expensive -6 setup unless you are also willing to either ditch your filter housing and buy a high flow filter and housing, more $, or drill out your fuel heater and the post the filter rides on. AND replace you stock fuel pickup. Lets just stop and think, does it make sense to hook a 7/16 ID hose to a fitting that's 5/16 ID? It doesn't sound like a huge difference, but the cross sectional area of 7/16ID hose is TWICE that of 5/16 ID. If you feel the need to use -8 line, then you definately need one of these fittings for the injector pump. But it doesn't make any sense to use it on the filter housing. Unless you are prepared to drill and tap your filter housing to 3/8 NPT, (or eliminate it all together), AND replace your fuel tank pickup to something bigger, than you aren't gaining very much evor -6 line which is 11/32 ID. I am definately not slamming anyone, I just think some guys should know before they jump on the bandwagon that -8 might not be the best choice for them. I applaud everyone's effort to get the fitting made, obviously not in the interest of profit at $6 target price, but rather to help out the TDR membership.

articat I have made a mess of 6an kits and sold them, my wife hates me for it, I work on stuff like that instead of with her. Lots of people ask me for 8an kits mostly because of a remark someone made about the sweep 90 on 6an being restrictive, I cant remember who that was , But any way I think people want the fittings so so they have the flexibility to put on "the big one" on yes we are trying to get rid of the stock fuel filter to

Articat,
Good sanity check!

More is better, but it is always good to have a "devil's advocate" in the mix. Sometimes helps others to properly set expectations!

Why in the world would ANYBODY be against your upgraded fuel lines?
Just because the original idiot designers, who probably have NEVER worked on, much less even DRIVEN a Dodge Diesel, are possibly objecting, is no reason to not go full speed forward with your project!

OK I said that I would take a set. I do want to replace everything. I am even putting in an extra capacity tank. I do not really want to replace my factory filter housing, although boring it out is not a problem. I have ordered a Mallory 4140 #ad
. I should be able to get everything in -6AN without any custom parts. Is that not enough #ad
? It is going to be a much better system than I have now, and I am done bombing, Maybe a set of 275s, oterwise I'm done! Sooooo is -8AN really needed #ad
?
