I checked an order for a TDR member today and his 5500 was built and scheduled to ship 8-1-07. I hope this is a good indication of a quick turnover for the other 08' trucks.

And he stopped by my office today to tell me it was being shipped... .

The problem is I'm sitting in a motel in NV with a bad tire on one of our larger trucks... waiting for tire service in the morning and will be back...

I'm guessing at least 4 to 5 weeks for shipment... .

08 rebates for the trucks just came out this week. $2,000 on 25 and 3,500's, I wouldn't hold my breath on the chassis cabs going up for a while, especially for the 45 and 5,500's.

I understand the rebates are on a regional basis. My dealer here in Texas has NO rebate info for 2008 models or any info at all. Even tho he has a 2008 mega cab sitting on his lot. I really would like to order a new quad cab 4X2 2008 but can not pay MSRP nor do I want to. Would like to buy form Dishman but can not travel that far without the expense exceeding the savings.

Last year I had a truck delivered to California, and was still way better than any dealer down there. Email me your specs and I will give you a price including trucking it down there on our trailer. By the way your rebates in the Southwest are also $2,000

My local dealer still has nothing in his computer re: 2008. Even the live chat or the e-mail to Dodge brings me absolutely NO info at all. They act like I am calling form another planet. They can tell you about 07 but NOTHING about 08. Same old DC.

Remember the dealer can only promote what the factory gives them... . they usually go to a web sight for that information... . in fact the new 5500 I ordered was spec'ed from the web sight and ordered from it...

I don't think the dealers should be posting pricing here... I have a build sheet with pricing on my desk for the 5500 that I have on order... . and don't mind sharing that with you...

Regular cab, 2WD, auto, SLT, Nav, 6 CD stereo, with Blue tooth, spare tire, fog lights, rubber mats instead of carpet, deluxe seat... . 40 and some change plus our tax and tags... .

We talked about 1000 back of invoice and the farm bureau rebate as well... but at the time we ordered the invoice wasn't available... .
