I wasn't aware that the '08s had any significant problems. I've heard of only a couple of them here that have required service. My '08 has been perfect for about 47,000 miles.

Most of the problems I've heard were with the early 07. 5's (although my 07. 5 has been absolutely trouble free for the year and a half I've owned it).

These are great trucks.

What I have been reading on some of the other fourms that the 08's had some issues from software to the DPF and I was wondering if Dodge had cured most of the little nagging issues from 08 to 09 models.

I can only give you my opinion but I believe that the latest flash has cleared up 07. 5 -09 emmissions issues pretty darn well. If some are still having issues on other forums are they flashed to the latest software? The 08's did not have to go thru near as much as the 07. 5 owners but Dodge and Cummins have done and still do a good job of correcting any issues that come up. I think if you are looking to get one you should not worry about the emissions to much and if you are then buy new and get the warranty. I love my '09 emissions and all.

6kand my 09 seems ok. clutch is a little hoppy with take off on steep grade with loaded trailers. Clutch not as good as old trucks. Peter will probly have one better when it is time.
