1-2 Shift Hunt

TRANS Is Hunting During 1-2 Shift Under Light Throttle. Searched Posts, Found A Tsb For A 2-3 Shift Hunt But Nothing For 1-2. Took Truck Back To Dealership And Of Course, They Couldn't Reproduce Problem Or Find Any Codes. Trans Flushed At Dodge Dealership And Was Fine At 28,000 Miles Back In October 2007. This Has Just Started Acting Up Now At 34,000 Miles. Truck Is Driven Mostly On Highway And Rarely Sees Heavy Or Severe Use. Any Suggestions Would Be Appreciated! STOCK TIRES AND RIMS ARE ON THE TRUCK FOR THE WINTER.

First adjust the front band and see if it makes a difference.

Had an 01' that would do that. Turned out to be a bad transducer on the valvebody.

dealer wants 130 for the solenoid. Is there a better source?

You should be able to get it done under warranty.

Done and fixed by a dealership that actually cared. It was TSB #21-009-07 (Governor Pressure Solenoid)

Only took me 20 miles out of my way, but well worth the excellent service that I received.

the part costs 130 and the copay is 100. CLOSE ENOUGH to look for a part, replace it myself and forgo the nail biting I would incur leaving it with the dealer...

If you go in there, do the transducer too. I did the solenoid and that didn't help, now i gotta drop the pan again and see if a transducer / sensor will help.

Any more ideas as to what can be the problem? I renewed both the sensor and solenoid. It lasted for about a day and is now doing it again.

Get a new valve body from HTS. They are in Michigan. Problem solved.
