Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 1-2 shift problem after transgo kit install

I have just installed a Transgo shift kit and all is well except: immediately after the 1-2 shift it seems to slip for a half second, or maybe it is just a hesitation. It is hard to tell because the shift is so quick, but right after the shift something is not right. Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks

TransGo Kits

I have been installing TransGo kits on various manufacturer's transmissions for years and have never had a problem with TransGo. Their shift kits work. They are very helpful and always willing to assist with any problems you are having.

If the front band is loose it can do what you describe, and it will flare bigtime if in second and you kick it down into first with the accelerator pedal. The band is a 1 minute adjustment, I would check it first. A minute flare on shifts is not a bad thing at all, just make sure it is a shift flare and not something slipping.
