1,300 Payload - Say it ain't so!!

Has anyone ever been pulled over due to being suspected of running over weight? Do any of the states actually require trucks with campers to pull into scales? I can see if someone has a bunch of tools on the truck getting away from the troopers but if I was a trooper and I knew what I know now, I could look for 3/4 ton cummins Dodges with campers and know I would make my poor state some revenue to afford my raise.

This whole thing with the 3/4 ton smells. If you don't have enough headroom in the GVWR to mount a camper, then don't offer a camper package on the truck!

The liability factor is scary stuff. I just may look into the umbrella policy thing.
