What is the absolute hottest I should let my truck get when drag racing.

15 seconds at 1800*F no problem :-laf .

I hear that guys are pushing 1800°F for the few seconds it takes to make a run. Of course these guys are not concerned about that if they have the money to build a 12 or 11 second 1/4 mile truck.

I dont watch mine when i make a pass, I know it above 1500 it hits the peg at the 1/8 mark, hasnt hurt it yet the short time that its up that high shouldnt hurt it
