Competition IRP Dyno Results

2004. 5 2500 600 6speed 4x4 3. 73axel quad cab long box.

Can't get to much bigger then that (4. 1 gears, dualy... )

STOCK I ran 16. 5 at like almost 80mph I think. This was a 4x4 launch in 2nd. Drop to 2x4 just before I grabbed 3rd (I have quick hands). Squaking the hole shot, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. 6th was quiet as I just pass the traps. _NO TAIL GATE_ (dropping this added . 300!!!)

I just added the Edge juice + attitude. My butt dyno + certaint cars and trucks that have known ET's. I suspect I'll be in the 14. 0 to 14. 5 second range with just the EDGE + exhaust (straigh pipe).

Curious, If anyone with a 600 + 6 speed + (4x4 OR 2x4 with dually) + Standard cab + shot box + 3. 73 gears. Do something like this. Curious as to the stock then EDGE (or banks or tst) modifed ET's

I'm guessing stock 15. 5. and down in the low 13's (gearing on stock tires would be come a nice issue. ). This would be a fast sleeper of a truck tho.

Thats some good # for a row boat. How hard are you hitten it off the line?

Do you shift out of 4x4 when you shift the main or just befor or after your 3rd gear shift?

Nice work I can only manage a 15. 0 with a 02 4x4 ex cab long bed 5sp.

I would like to see you hit the 14's with only the edge ... Shifting is the issue... . High 15s are more like it ... but if yo ucan do it post the slips I would love to see it.

I have a 2003 thats putting down over 450 hp and almost 900 ft # trq and I am having trouble getting into the 15s because of traction... Now you have 4 wheel to use for the launch but will that give you 2-3 seconds

Green Machine:

Pulsing the throttle to about 2500RPM, thus creating as much load to get the turbo spooling as much as possible. Then basicly dropping hte clutch in 2nd. Depending on how fast my body feels like moving, I _can_ manage to push the 4x4 lever _BACK_ to 2x4 and grab the shifter and toss it into 3rd... Once you grab 3rd, the 4x4 should disenguage at the same time. Normaly, you would have more time to drop out of 4x4 between 3rd and 4th gears.

I wonder what kinda damage I can do with that short throw kit I saw some place? :)

I used the same technique on my 2001 Audi TT 225 roadster (AWD 6 speed turbo 1. 8 liter 4 cylinder). This was a lease so i left it stock. The car hit 143mph for about 2 or 3 miles once a week and idled at 90mph on the eway. So the motor was used to being DRIVEN like it should. Everyzine you will read about this car puts it at 15. 5-ish range, if not slower. I have a slip back in Michgan that reads 14. 1/sec and I think 98 or 99mph. :) naturally Car and Driver and the like NEVER did a correct 5000rpm clutch drop and power shifted... This car had lots of turbo lag, and if you didn't shift quick enuff, you would lose boost and lag between gears. .

These are the same morons that put the 911 turbo AWD slower in the 0-60 then a z06 vette. (3 or so years ago this was. ) 911 = 450hp AWD z06 = 400hp RWD. Impossible I say. Impossible... .

Twisted Shifter:

in 2x4, 2nd gear launches with as little tire spin as possible, I manage to run a 17. 3 STOCK. Dropping the tail gait (. 300) and using 4x4 (. 500) got the nubmers down to 16. 5 STOCK.

Again, most zine's will say my truck in in the 17. 8 to 19 second range. . Most likly starting off in 1st (creaper) and 2x4 with no molesting of the boost guage.

heh, I was able to beat a 2001 S4 5 speed (twin turbo v6) and A Banks powered 2004. 5 cumin's :) last time I was out racing. And that lexus 300GS that I walk from 65 - 90 on mn-169 yesterday got an ear full of diesel noise and smoke.

I love it when people expect a big truck to be slow then are like "ohhh crap, he's faster then me!" :)

Im with yea ... I hit 17. 2 bone stock ..... I just cant hookup off the line ... tried 3rd gear launch and that aint getting it either. But the 94 will be done soon and I can stop trying to race the 03 :p

My truck is a single wheel 4 door short bed with 410 gears and when i had the afe air intake 4inch exhaust running the tst box with the stock turbo with my 6 speed i could only get a 14. 5 in the 1/4 mile

Did you have the tail gate on? and how much fuel?

I forgot to mentionI timed my millage to the track to have about 3 or 4 gallons of fuel in the tank... . a full take is like 250 pounds of dead weight.

Im hiten the green light with about 5-8 psi of boost in 2nd 4-Hi then shifting to 3rd then 4th and holding in 4th (its a 5 speed) most of the times are 15 to 15. 30 with the top speed always close to 92mph. If I shift to 5th I drop time and speed. If I hit it any harder at the line I just spin (open diffs). Nexts time Im pumpen up the boost to 40-45 (max of 30 right now) and going to try and shift out of 4 wheel drive. Maby hit a mid 14 or lower. Or dropen a huge hit of Nos and running 11's

my 1/4 mile times were with the tail gate on spare tire still under the truck and 3/4 tank of fuel ive never noticed a difference in my times from the weight of my fuel tank seems like i always run fairly consistent
