Looks like it is time to replace the front brakes again. Has anyone installed the rotor and hub extension (cast as one piece), and how did/do you like them. Researching my options before spending money.
 
I got a set from Auto Zone about 500k ago with no complaints. I made the mistake of having the originals turned when I installed the first set of new pads. Instead of just turning them to remove the glaze and minor grooves they turned them down to the minimum thickness. Less than 50k later they were warped. I bought the hubs and pads at the same time and will replace the pads when the next bearing repack is due. I'll just let them wear into the existing grooves.
 
ditto for 10 years, till I pushed the last set of pads too far, then ate one rotor...
so wound up doing the rotors, and did bearings while I was at it and hip deep into it.

At times I used a right angle air grinder with Scotch surface prep pads to take the glaze off the rotors... but left the grooves in there... never was a problem.
