1-Ton with 3.08's???

Has anyone with a 1-ton gone from 4. 10's to 3:08's in the rear? I hear some guys who've gone from 4. 10 to 3:56 and still wish they'd gone farther. What's your experience with rear-gear reductions?

I, too, was interested in running 3. 08's in mine, but they are no longer available.

I have them in both my 89 D250 with 3 speed auto and gear vendor as well as 93 Club cab with getrag, love them, get great top speed and when running at 70mph, 1800 rpm with the 5 speed, approx 1950 rpm with auto, due to convertor slippage. The 89 make a great tow rig, my 93

is just used as a pleasure car.
