My wife and I just finished a 2 month long trip through Canada and up into Alaska, then back to our home in Colorado.
Flatlands in Wyoming and Alberta, mountains in Colorado, Montana and British Colombia, various terrains in Alaska. Generally we ran at the posted speed limit. Some of the roads were rough, and /or dirt roads, requiring lower speeds for safety & comfort.

We were towing a 23 Ft. Travel Trailer - 6200 lb. loaded
Total Max. Combined Weight – 13,360 lb.

Total Trip Miles Logged – 9,898 Mi.
Trailer Tow Miles – 8348 Mi.
651.4 Gal. Fuel @ Total cost - $1739.63 Average $/Gal. - $2.71
(Fuel purchased in Canada converted to U.S. Gal.& $)
Overall average MPG – 15.2

For the most part, truck & trailer performed flawlessly. We had a wonderful trip.
Between Denali National Park & Anchorage, AK, I did get a CEL. However, the truck was running good, all the instruments and read-outs were normal, so I continued into Anchorage Chrysler Center. They got me right in and had it checked out. Turned out, it was just a notification that an ECM update was due. I had the tires rotated while I was there.

At about 18,500 miles, I got a “Particulate Filter at 80%” which I thought was strange, as the truck had been operated almost continually at highway speeds and pulling a load. The warning went off and back on several times, each time showing a lower %, until the last notification @ 6%. This is the only time I’ve seen this since the truck was new.

Otherwise, we had (1) trailer tire repair.

We purchased our 1500 Ecodiesel on June 23, 2016, so we have owned it for just over a year.
As of July 26, 2016, when returned home from our Alaska trip:

Total Miles Since New – 21979 Mi.
12,574 Miles towing, at a Gross Combined Weight of around 13, 300 Lbs.
(Don’t ya just love that “Trailer Tow Miles” feature?)

Total Fuel Since New – 1316.78 Gal.
Overall Average Since New - 16.69 MPG

Best Single Tank MPG – 31.14 MPG (Obviously not towing)
Worst Single Tank MPG – 13.09 MPG Towing thru mountains)

Total Fuel Cost - $3,374.06
Overall Avg. $/Gal. – $2.56

The truck has used 17.5 Gal. of DEF - Average – 1255.9 Miles / Gal.

I have not added any oil between oil changes, (2) which have been running right near 10K when the “Oil Change Required” warning illuminates.
