What is the piece in front of the trigger guard? Looks like a loading lever, but thought a 10-22 was a semi- auto.

Very nice indeed... . I've had several that wouldn't shoot to my specs, and end up rebarreling them like yours... . I did a 17M2 a few back, and I love that thing... . I've never used the Clark trigger groups... glad to hear they're up to spec!!

Can you still get Mach 2 ammo? That was a pretty cool idea that didn't really catch on. It seems to have died a fairly quick death.

I hope so!!! I've got a "few" boxes, so not real worried about it, but I do love that thing!! Super quiet around the animals at my barns, and really lethal on skunks, coons, and the blackbirds that pass through... . the blackbirds carry all kinds of nasty bugs, flying in and out of the feedlots, then traveling to the next one, then to here... Really hate it when distemper gets in my horses, but they haven't been anywhere but here!!!



Looks like it's still listed everywhere... . just out of stock like everything else... Brownells, Wideners, Natchez Shooters Supply, they all list it in the catalogs... . It's a good little cartridge for me... I've got a Taurus in 17HMR that I wish was 17M2 sometimes... It's LOUD!! But it works "OH, SO WELL!!" on coons and snakes!!

The Clark stuff is fantastic. The next 10/22 I'm building will be all Kidd including his 2 stage trigger with 8oz/8oz specs.

I don't have a 17m2, but I do have a Savage Model 93 17hmr. It's a tack driver out of the box. I need to get to a good bench and put the . 22 and . 17 side by side. Soon...

Great thing about the hmr... ammo is very plentiful even now.

I have a Savage 93 in 17hmr also. It's a nickel whacker at 100 yards. Definitely a keeper. I'm very curious to see the new Winchester 17 Super Mag. 3000fps from a rimfire!

After reading your post about the 17 WSM, I went out and researched, read, etc.

And now they're a long ways from coming out yet... Sept or so from what I've heard.

Seems that they always hit the magazines waaaayyyybefore the actual product hits the stores. But it does look intriguing!
