I have a 2001 2500 yesterday a/c quit blower works compressor won't come on found blown fuse in box under hood on the wheel well. repalced the fuse blew as soon as I turned it on. tried a 15 blew that one also. anyone have an idea where to start?

Trouble shooting

Don't install a larger fuse than the one listed. Unplug your compressor and the blower motor. Plug the fuse in and see waht happens. If it blows, it's likely in the wiring or switch. If it doesn't blow, plug in the blower and then the compressor. It will help if you have a cheapo multi-meter ($10 at Wal-Mart).

This is simplistic but should help you start.

update

I was away when the problem started I only had one 10 amp fuse that is why I used a 15 amp. Today I determined I have power to the plug by the oil filter the fuse goes when the engine is running and the air is turned on. I unplugged it and re plugged it anr it blew. I took of the belt and checked the pulley spins as does the clutch I think it is a clutch problem. I am taking it to a garage in the morning . Thanks for the help.
