I just installed at 10 plate in my 3500 4x4 auto. It shutters around 2200 rpms and I really notice a difference under 2200 rpm the plate was placed in the same location as the old one. Thanks

Interesting, is it a strong vibration in the drivetrain? If so, sounds normal. I noticed the same thing with the real strong fueling plates, if we're on the same wavelength here. It's even worse when towing & especially loud/strong vibration with the #0 plate. If it's that, it's just the chassis & drivetrain soaking up that new found torque. ;)

What is the fix? Take the 10 out and put the stock back in I guess? That bites! Is there any way to adjust this? I dont know id its from the drive train it seams like it is just cutting in and out. But if not under load I can free rev it to 3000. :confused:

cop,

What do you mean by shudders? I put a # 10 plate in my 97 with an auto recently and it runs the same as before with a lot more pulling power from 60mph on up.

The low end is a little more powerful but you can really feel it pull when the converter is locked at freeway speeds.

I thought I read a post somewhere about someone who said his truck vibrated and it was due to the trani going bad.

Do you know if your trani is taking the power okay?

The only other thing I could think of would be that boost adjustment that has to be installed. It should come pre set but maybe it's out of wack.

It's a pain to put the old plate back in but it will tell you if that's the problem or not.

Let us know what you find out.

:confused: well old plate back in and it still isn't right? I have no idea what I did it ran great until I put in the 10 plate. I must have something out of adjustment. I changed the transmission fluid today. all looked good no metal. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

If it is the engine shuttering, how old/dirty is your fuel filter? Have you cleaned the screen on the fuel heater? Could be a little starved for fuel. Have had that happen plenty with dirty fuel filters.

Even if the filter is relativly new, you can still get a bad batch of fuel.

Well I will change out the fuel filter and see how that goes. My friend drove it and he said it was a fuel problem not a transmission problem. so I am hoping a filter change will fix this problem. I have the 10 plate back in good low speed power but it will only go 70 miles per hour and it shutters. :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ :{ :{
