Here is the results of the #11 and 9000lbs of 5er up a 6% grade at 55 mph:--)

I have the Scotty II and at 55 mph the EGT's were at 1000-1050 depending on my right foot. The clutch is holding just fine but it goes back to the shop next week for a replacement due to off idle shudder.

Still running the 12cm housing and stock timing and stock injectors. Sweet plate... Thanks Joe for the advice...

FYI

I went with the #11.

I tried to get the girl answering the phone to tell me what's going on special next month. It definetly wont be GSK's. Theyre out of stock.

#11 Plate

Where should i set the #11 plate in my pump when i install my 370 injectors and 14cm wastegated exhaust housing? Will egt's run hot when i get ready to tow my 5th wheel trailer?

IMHO, you should leave your plate in the stock position. With 370 injectors and the #11 plate, you will have plenty of power to tow. Oo. Oo.

Another option is to start 3/4 of the way forward. That way, you won't have to take the cover back off & move it forward later. Oo.

Been there, did that 3 plates ago. :)

With plate all the way forward, 417 HP and we are fairly close in the way our trucks are set up. For towing I moved it back about 1/8" and it was fine but watch the gauge on big hills.

nfox,

FWIW, and since you asked about EGT's in a PM a few weeks ago, I have mine about . 025" forward of stock. I assume stock is in the middle - didn't really pay attention when I put it in. Just set the jig where the stock plate was and put in the new one. I think I still have a little room left to move it forward. May do that this weekend, just for kicks. I'll let you know if I do and how much room I had left.

Eric,

Funny you should ask...

I dyno'd at Utah Dyno Days yesterday on the Edge's Mustang dyno. 360. 7 HP at 2350 RPM. 853. 8 ft/lbs at 2100 RPM. That exceeded my minimum expectation but I was hoping for a little more. Rumor was that the tires start slipping on the rollers after about 350 to 400 HP. The tires were sure hot after a run or two, so who knows.

That was top numbers for about the first dozen or so trucks. Then some guy with a specially flashed PCM and propane in his Duramax did over 400. That hurt. Then the "extreme" Rams started to step up and do serious numbers. Blew the Duramax away. HeberRam, with a special pump and nitrous did about 490 hp/1450 lbs.

One interesting point of note. Another Ram of the same year and nearly identical set up as mine (no GSK) did slightly less HP but way more torque - 936 at about 1850 RPM. Can't understand the why of that one.

I don't know how Deezul 1 managed 417 HP with a set-up very similar to mine, but congrats to him. I'd love those kind of numbers.

I'm going to take mine to the local shop that has a DynoJet this week and do a run to compare. I'll let you know.

BTW: I tapped my plate forward just a smidge for the day. It's now about . 035 forward of stock, roughly.

Well, my best pull was 405 HP with the #10 plate forward, 370's and Piers' 3K GSK.

BUT!! Dean (Wiercummins) dynoed 2 months ago in Vegas at 467hp. When he got on this dyno with the exact same set-up, he only pulled a 427. A few of the guys that were in Dallas at the last dyno day were also complaining that the dyno numbers seemed low.

Either way, I came there expecting 400hp and that's what I got. If that number is low, GREAT!!. Maybe I'll find another shop that has a dyno I can fit on and make a few more pulls.

The one that suprised me was MDW, with his little ol 175 pump, #4 plate, 3K GSK and 370's he pulled a 400 HP as well. Guess I'll let him go ahead and time my truck now. :)

Hey GSK which truck was yours, what number where you on the list? I was 24th. Ran a 332 and 793 with #11 forward, timing at 17 deg. , cut off muffler and cat and BHAF.

When I looked at the list I thought the Duramax and drugs ran 430 hp and Heberam ran 586 on NOS? Heberram has a nice idle though, but not practical for me.

Shane,

I assume you were replying to me (JGK, not GSK). I was # 4 on the list.

I couldn't remember exactly what the Chevy did, but it was about 430, I think.

I thought HeberRam did 490-495 on NOX, but I could be confused (too much smoke after his run?). Either way, it was impressive. I'd have been more impressed if it had been on straight diesel, but, hey, whatever works.
