I have had a #10 plate centered for a while now and want to slid it up a bit..... so i went in there and loosend the 2 screws and slid the plate toward the FRONT of the truck (away from the firewall). put is all back together and OMG its a dog..... 11psi of boost and no smoke! Did i slid it the wrong way??? please help... . as soon as it stops raining i am going to head back out and fix it.

Thanks

Sounds like something else is wrong..... from your post you moved it correctly... . towards the front of the truck.

I dynoed back in June and I made just a little over 40 extra HP by sliding my #10 full forward.

I can't think of what would limit you to just 11psi of boost:confused:

Maybe someone can jump in here and give you an idea.

Low Power

I would check to make sure that the boost sense line the goes from the intake manifold to your afc housing is tight and not leaking, Make sure that your intercooler hose hasn't slid off of the air intake manifold or maybe the gasket under the intake has blown out. One other thing to check is to make sure that your camplate is running parallel with the arm on your afc housing, if it is not it will hold the governor lever back from the camplate and it will not fuel like it is suppose to. Let us know what you find out.

do i need to slide the AFC housing forward with it? I just went in there and slid it toward the rear of the truck (didnt see this post yet) and its the exact same11 ish psi and no power.

WOW!

Well it seems that the AFC housing was cocked a little sideways and hanging up the arm in there.

Holy cow... ... this thing flies now! makes me want to head back to the dyno to see the differance on paper but i can feel it in the good old butt dyno!

#10 plate full forward is quite a bit of fun!!!! I can make almost 40psi with the 16cm2 housing. with the #10 centered it would only make 36 if i beat on it.

EGTs are not as high as i thought... . they climb a little faster but still are controlable.

I am happy

Oo.

i didn't think that the housing could get turned enough with 4 bolts, but having the plate in at an angle will cause the arm to bind against it. been there, done that:eek:

When I developed the #10, I dyno tested it and found that moving it forward . 035" gave 28 more hp.

But Joe my statement above..... moving it FULL forward gave me 46 more dyno proven horsepower.
