Did anyone else purchase plates from Richard Brown through his ad in the classifieds? I thought I was getting a plate and the boost elbow but all I got was the plate. What do you think I should do?

I already sent him an e-mail this is what he said contrary to his ad.



I am selling plates. When buying and selling plates there are plates and plate kits. I added info to the plates.



Yeah his info was a print out from Piers on how to install the plate.

Same thing here. I bought one for me and another for a friend, and no elbows. I emailed him and he said

Oh lord, ... they only cost $10 from Piers. I'm sure with the $75 he saved he can get a boost elbow

. That might be true, but it shouldn't have been advertised that it included the elbows.

Somebody else was selling plates on Ebay without elbows... A friend emailed the seller about the elbows, and the seller replied "Most guys don't use the elbows because they want to get full unrestricted boost" .

He sent me another e-mail said he had some ordered and would send 1 to me when he got them in. Time will tell.

Demon Dodge i don't think i should send u a damn thing! I honestly thought i put down Plates, then when Demon Dodge mentioned that i had put the word boost elbow too in my ad, i immediatly emalied him that i was wrong and that i will order elbows and have them sent his way. On ebay and other places most don't sell boost elbows, mainly cause most people go with non wastegated ex housing. I got the elbows in yesterday, i made an honest mistake, but to trash my name all over the TDR is B. S. I don't think i was screwin' anybody selling genuine TST plates for $150. Get real buddy.

That is a pretty harsh response. I saw the same add as typed by you and copied by Demon Dodge. I guess I am glad I bought mine from Joe. He was very helpful and got everything as promised.

hey scramblin, when i bought my 0 plate from Joe i didn't get a boost elbow, . . i didn't cry and complain and trash his his on the TDR. For some one to trash a guys name over $10 is crazy. Some people just don't have anything else to do but cry and feel sorry for themselves. If Demon Dodge, (Rod) was so unhappy why didn't he send the plate back, ... i'd be more than happy to refund his money. I'm not a hot head and i don't go on the TDR yelling at everybody, but when someone defames me like this, i think anybody would get peeved. He didn't even give me a chance to send him an elbow before he flamed me. Thats uncalled for. I made a mistake, i told him that, and i mentioned it on the TDR. I gave all the elbows away, prior to Rod buy my last plate. I went and bought 5 more the day i talked to Rod and he throws a big fit. Anybody. thats feels they have been cheated i'll send a boost elbow

Sounds like you folks had a miscommunication.

I didn't yell. I simply posted your ad after I hadn't heard from you. Then I posted your reply to my e-mail. If I placed an ad for parts I certainly would know what I was selling. After all you had to type the ad yourself. When you finally said you would send an elbow I posted that also. Honesty is the best policy ten dollars or 10 cents money was exchanged for parts not received. I'm sorry your feathers got ruffled.

Not taking any sides but to answer the question, I did purchase a plate from Richard Brown, got all the parts/pieces listed. Sent my cheque from Canada on a Monday and received my plate on the following Friday. Very good service. To that , What Scramblin said.

If the boost elbows were included as advertised none of this would have happened. May those that read this learn to deliver what they advertise. If anyone is selling elbows why would they have to go out and buy them after getting complaints?



Next time someone has a problem with a supplier contact them and let them have a chance to make things right before posting.
