Just asking, Is anyone interested in attending Semi Tractor Pulls?



A second thought, What about a joint effort pick up truck and semi tractor pull?



:-{} Could you see the friendly discussion on who had the fastest and or best pulling Cummins?



What about a side by side:--) pull?



Just some rambling thoughts.

I don't know about other pulls... .



BUT, the pulls I have been to... there is only room for one truck to run at a time. Also - I have never seen two sleds at one pulling event.....



IF it did happen (and it would be VERY cool if it could... ) you had better prepare for all the moaning and complaining when someone thinks that the 'little Cummins' got the sled with the less intensive gearing or weight advance..... when he puts a whoopin' on a bone-stock class-8 truck.



That's my $0. 04 worth...

I'd pay to see any kind of pulling.



Even the kids/adults with the garden tractors put on a good show. I've seen some with 3 Kohler industrial engines... . pretty slick. Others had 4-banger Honda's in 'em... .



The bone-stock gardner tractors with the tiny kids barely big enough to reach the pedals are a hoot to watch. It's good that their Mom/Dad/Family supports them like that... .

Could you just see a County Fair that has a Pulling event weekend? The event could bring kids on garden tractors, our diesel pickups, some Big Rigs & maybe a monster truck or two to the same sled pulling WORLD FINALS? :--)

An entire week would be needed!

How about a series of World Finals for each category held in different cities each weekend during say July? Camping Groupies anyone?

They have two sleds in Jefferson City, MO Every year that I have been there. As of yet I have never pulled mine but intend to some this year. THis is one of the places which I will go because they usually have a pretty good pull of trucks and tractors. Hot stock and stock farm tractors. And then there are the truck pulls. I don't remember what classes there were for trucks to pull in last year but there were quite a few trucks there. However they were mostly stock.

Quite a few pulls have a back up sled, and I have pulled side by side before. One then the other, for safety.



Ashtabula Ohio, August 10th, pulls two tracks, starting in the morning, and ending late at night.



They pull EVERYTHING. Including a Hot Stock Diesel Pick up class.



Earlier on that day, there is an all Diesel drag race, just down the street.

Hoping to drag and pull that day.

Add me to your information list. I would love to see a side by side pull! They would need a large pull area, but it would be tremendous competition.

It would be to the benefit to all if you could publish a list or home website for the people who are putting this together. Oo.

I wonder if anything will be held closer to Chicago?

Could you tell me when these pulls will be going on this year? Is this part of a county fair or some other association?

All the BIG dogs pull at this one. However, I dont think they run a diesel pick-up class yet. I haven't been up there for quite a few years now, but a bunch of guys from town always go and come back with a full report, and pictures. They pull 2 sleds at a time, like Gene had described. There are so many entries, they have to. They pull Thursday night through Sunday.

Last time I was up there, the hooked both sleds together and hooked a tank retriever up, for exhibition. That was way cool.
