What did you use to shape the plate and what did you use for the final polish to make it smoooooth?

I made my #100 plate from my stocker and just ground it down on a grinding wheel and polshied it up with a polishing wheel. Of course I made me some pen marks on the sides of the plate to make sure I didn't grind too far in certain areas. Looks just like the above one... . but I need a gover lever adjustment to run my #100 plate. :{
