$1000 cash back on 2005 until 8/31

Finally a rebate on the 2005's, per the Dodge website. Hopefully the rebate will go UP after 8/31!

Don't count on things getter better than $1,000 after 8/31. My neighbor is the #2 guy in the regional DC zone and he has always told me true regarding rebate futures on my past Jeeps and the latest '04. 5 Cummins purchase. I have a couple of friends lining up for '05's after seeing/driving mine. The DC dude says they have been selling the s@#t out of the things the last month, and new '05 orders are streaming in. He says that the $1,000 will probably pop again right after 8/31, but that depends on the strength of orders!

Dodge has run rebates continually since about Oct. 2002. But I know sales are picking up, since Cummins says their sales to DC has jumped a lot compared to a year ago.

Just read a manufacturing mag that deals with manufacturing the parts to the OEM's... it said that DC truck sales were up 13% over last year... and that the average profit on a Ram truck was 3000 at the manufacturing level... and the sales of these trucks was the bulk of the profits for DC.



They also said that they lost money on each Neon sold, but needed those sales for their C. A. F. E. requirements... .



BTW, Ford and Chevy were flat... ... and Dodge was looking for an additional 100K units in the new Dodge Power Wagon for 05.....

The 6. 0-no has finally burnt Ford at the sales counter,I would think their loss would be split with GM and Dodge. I show cuttin' horses And a see a big shift to the Dodge with Cummins in the parking lots!Also the average horse tr. is getting bigger,I wunder if George's tax cuts have anything to do with this????????
