Thinkin' about dyno'n my truck on friday. Not for sure yet, though. How about a pool on what my numbers will be, because I haven't the foggiest... I couldn't even ballpark it. If I break 200hp I'll be happy, and if I break 400hp I'll be surprised. There, now its WIDE open for any takers. Winner gets braggin rights.

If you haven't guessed, this is more so a fun thread, just to mess around with. Any real guesses can be thrown in the hat, though. Somehow we all end up giving our take on various aspects of life in threads about exhaust, wiring, or pumps. This way we can talk about whatever, whenever, but revolve it around some form of 1st gen related topic, lest we need to step outside our comfort zone of first genners.

alright, I'll play - let's say... ohhhh... . 305 hp at the crank and say... ... 630 tq at the crank, adjusted to about 280/590 at the tires.

It's a load style dyno.

I have a feeling all this is going to lead to is spending more money when my numbers aint where I want them... .

... which will in turn mean I'll break more parts... and spend even more money to fix them... .

... then when its fixed I'll dyno it again... .

... do we see where this is going?

Since it's a load dyno, I'll say 255/630. I had a disappointing run on a load dyno last Nov. , and did some research. Most sources placed the particular brand of dyno used as typically reading 12-15% lower than a Dynoijet. Since most figures listed here are Dynojet numbers, it's kinda a apples/oranges deal.

Yep. I do.

My brother is a financial advisor. He won't let me forget my hot rod 1992 (or any for that matter) is one of the worlds most unwise/worst investments as you can clearly see.

My trucks are are loosing me thousands each year in lost $ from investments. Should get out now and invest what little I'd return on them.

285/590 at the wheels. but now that your gettin a new turbo, Lord only knows, cause if i know you, youll go hog wild with this little window of oprotunity:-laf absurdly large turbo, 4inch heck maby even a 5 inch down pipe. lets see what you do then ill guess at it.
