just turned 100000 last week.

what kind of things should i change or look for. I need this truck to stay reliable. thanks mike

Keep doing what you been doing for a 100000 miles. Just normal maint. My son has a 99 and I think he has around 104000.

Congratulations

Might want to start looking around for someone to adjust the valves if you haven't planned on doing that yourself. Not a difficult job just takes a little time and a couple of cold ones. LOL

Adjust the valves, replace the brake and P/S fluid, change any other lubes, fluids and filters that haven't been changed 'recently', check steering components for wear, check suspension bushings for wear, check the rear springs for sag, check all u-joints for wear, check the alignment, regrease wheel bearings (if possible), check most bolts for proper torque. Check the windscreen for excessive pitting (replace it if you can't see through it driving into the sun).

That should keep you busy for a week or two.

This would be a good time to go through the whole truck and check everything out. Look at all belts and hoses and what the other guys have mentioned in this thread. Let us know what you find needed to be corrected. I'm 50K behind you :D

most important

I cant believe this hasnt been mentioned yet :confused:

Pull the hose aff the turbo and get that fender off that flower smoke outa there :{
