What they say they have and what you actually get are 2 very different things.



As of 3 months ago the 3. 54 was not available from AAM or aftermarket. However, AAM did state they were assessing the possibility of including the 3. 54 and the after market should be tooling up. Post what they have to say.
 
I dunno if that's even worth it. You're looking at a 5. 1% difference in ratio, so if you are now turning 2000 RPM at 70 mph after the gear swap you will be at ~1898 rpm. Considering you would have to swap gears in both ends of a 4x4 it would take a considerable amount of miles to recoup the cost in fuel savings.



Now, if they decide to cut some 3. 08's I'll be all over it... . I think there is probably a fair amount of people in my situation (lots of highway miles with either a small load in the bed or towing a pretty light trailer - ~3000lbs) who would be able to run that tall of a ratio and see some serious fuel savings.
