My trusty calculator says that to run 119. 78 MPH in the quarter mile with a 6,200 truck it will take 832 horse at the rear wheels and 981 horse at the flywheel.

What about 6400 lbs to 12. 65@113. 8 MPH on stock tires... . what power does that take.

Jeff Prince

Hey! That's my mentor Jeff Prince from Corpus Christi Texas:)

He laid low for a couple years but as you can see, he's back at it with a vengance. He's got a new engine and a new twin turbo system. Guess it works ok!:D Actually he's doing amazingly well with that 5-speed:cool:

Can you believe I have to race him IF I go back to Texas this fall:eek: I sure do like the weather out here in CA:-laf :-laf

Man, that's movin' especially for a manual! Good job there.

Kinda makes me wish we would'a put a roll bar in the white truck and kept going on that one. :(

Yeah, it was great seeing that thing in person. I heard a rumor that he is going to put an auto in the truck. Hope he puts a cage in there also. All accounts I have heard say it's around 850hp at the wheels. Takes more power to do it with a stick then an auto. My hat, and all of DI's hats are off to him.

Wish him the best of luck at the next race! Doubt we can catch him though. :)

Jeff doesn't run any juice/drugs fuel only. How about that reaction time :) ?

I think his 60' time was around ~2. 2.

Anybody know if he will be at the Clash of the Titans Aug 30-31st in San Antonio? I think his partner in crime Joe Hellman will be there,, and if I read him correctly, he is hinting Jeff will be there also.

That truck has to be more then 6200. Try 7200lbs. My shortbed quad 4x4 is 6800lb stock.

Dually

BTW, that's a 2wd with slicks. It might surprise you regarding the weight. It's a standard cab with plastic fenders and a D80. I'd bet it's around 6200.

Hey Nowel, did you notice Jake's sig (drag diesel) shows he is more than 2 seconds better now than at MM'03 (13. 6 then). He claims 11. 5 sec at 121 mph, 6680 lb.

Gotta Watch That Boy

Joe, that time is something he threw up when someone needled him on another site. IOW, it's less then accurate:rolleyes:

Now I'm a BIG "Jake" fan (pun intended), but I'm thinkin' he's prolly runnin' 13. 0 or so.
