Alien Hand Syndrome...*SPOOKY STUFF*

Holy diamond plate Batman!

I happened to be at the Brainard Min Drag strip last weekend and saw something new to me. Snow machines drag racing on asphalt. Too Cool. I use to see snow drags in AK but I had never seen any thing like these bad boys. The front skis were rebuilt with little rollers in them and man those babes flew! A couple of them ran 12. 88s @145mph. The guys at Phoenix Int. would go wild for these things. Oo. Oo. Oo.

Jim: Not to burst your bubble, but I have seen quite a few of these sleds running high 9's in the 1/4 mile... .

They just hook and GO!! Insanity... .

I never got the chance to look under the hood... . but quite a few guys are running turbos on their sleds nowadays... .

F'in' awsome

Matt, It blew my mind to see those little dudes blow the big bad dragsters away!Oo.

I mean eat those big boys up and spit out the bolts. Way Kool!

They sounded like sewing machines on steriods. :p

Had to be turning 15+Krpm. :--)

Back in Mesa it's 114 in the shade. If you can find any.

I'm off to Hawaii for a while 2Fnhot here Bra:D

Every year when I go to Boise for the Nightfires there is a sh**load of them running up there, once in a while will see one at the Vegas track too!!

Turbos and nitrous are common place in the hill country. I watched my buddy drop 20 grand on his sled... . its crazy fast. He takes helicopter rides to ride his sled because the terrain that is readily accessible just isn't steep enough for him.

I've seen those things run in PA also. I love it when they drive AROUND the water used for burnouts to keep that huge belt dry then stage up next to one of those crotchrockets and spank 'em in the quarter by a full 2 seconds. Priceless. If my wallet was as large as my imagination, I would definately buy one!

I'd like to know how they're keeping them high revving 2-strokes together on the bottle and with a little boost.

It seems like a lot of the NA all motor 2-strokers are eating pistons and so forth... .

Matt

2 strokes

The key to making them live is feeding them the proper amount

of whatever octane fuel they require. The pro class 800 NA sleds

run in the nines with a few in the eights. There is one Ski-Doo

mountain sled that uses an HY35 that is running about 12-14 lbs

of boost and is making in excess of 200 hp out of an 800cc motor

that is otherwise basically stock.
