I'm going to try here before I contact the stealers and get their input. I trust you guys more than I trust them.

Anyone know what the exact size of the 12 point bolt that holds the front rotor to the hub? I've got some new EGR brakes coming and I need to get this socket prior to disassembly. Thanks!!!

Which bolt would that be? The only 12 bolt I can think of would be the 4 bolts holding the hub to the knuckle, and those I believe are 9/16"

I was under the impression that the rotor was held on to the hub assembly by the four 12point bolts. I must have gotten some bum information from someone along the line. They turned out to be 14mm bolts.

Yeah it's kinda like 1/2" = 13mm... though the 13mm is just a hair larger... enough that once in a while a 1/2" wrench won't fit, but the 13mm will. 3/4" = 19mm, 7/16" = 10mm... Alot of the metric sizes will cross over. I hate the bolts that aren't standard or metric is seems. . Then it's vice grip :D

yeah, it seems like our trucks use half SAE and the other half are metric... Frustrates me to no end when working on it. I'm not where I can look at my truck, but do you know what kind of bolt holds on the caliper to the knuckle?
