I have build my 98 model 12 valve's engine to preform how I needed it to but at the same time I have build a strong enough motor that the transmission can not hold up. transmission is slipping in first and second and will not lock up, but when if and when it shifts to overdrive hold on to your hat!!!!!!!!!!!! I have looked at Goerend transmission's and Ats transmission's. Which one has best transmission and service?

I have heard great things about Goerend trannys, and not so great things about ATS customer service (if you need to call them for warranty stuff). Plus when I was shopping around for trans stuff, Dave Goerend was very helpful.

I have experience with a DTT rebuild, none with Goerend. I don't remember ever reading a criticism of DTT or Goerend in TDR.

I had James Northrum build a complete DTT 48re for my '06 several years ago. He did a good job and it worked great.

georend will give you a lifetime warantee on the converter, has awesome customer service and is cheaper. I really liked dealing with him

I recently had my transmission built buy James Northum at James Trans Tech. He is great to work with and builds a solid DTT transmission. I traveled 350+ miles to have him work on my truck and it was well worth the trip. I recommend at least calling him since you are in Oklahoma.
