Man... I been wanting to do this fuel gage for a long time. You guys got me thinking about it again for my 12v 97. I bought the tapped 24v banjo bolt from Geneo's a looog time ago and it's been sitting in my tool box and now I still need the instrument gage. "LVjunior"... what fuel gage kit did you get from Harbor Freight (PN please)?

I had bought a cheaper under hood fuel gage from "Larry B's" for about $70 that mounted to the top of the fuel filter but I could not dampen the spikes and it finally failed after a week or two so I threw it away.

Thanks,

Dave

I got a guage from Geno's as well, it has a gizmo that keeps the fuel out of the cab, and calms down the pulses as well, an isolator I think they called it.

Dave M

It is item 92699 U. S. General brand fuel injection pump tester

I also put a needle valve from the hardware store in line to dampen the bounce on the gauge.

I would not recommend it to permanently mount a gauge. But it works good enough to check your pressure
