12 Valve in a 3rd Gen

Has anyone put a 12 valve ( 97 style ) in a 3rd gen? I know of one TDR member ( DPashko ) who did it. I am looking for more info. In particular potential electrical / wiring problem. I know some will say why, others will say I'm crazy. I'm just glad my wife doesn't read these forums. :-laf Shadrach

Do you intend it to be a driver or a competition truck? I do know of a few in sled pullers.

It will be a driver and for towing out travel trailer. I few minor mods but mostly for mileage and " improvements " over stock. I need all the dash gauges to work. Shadrach

Hey fellas, either this month or next - in diesel power mag there is a write up on converting a 24 valve (vp44) to a p-pump. I am having all kinds of problems and was contemplating the 12v swap as well. But 24v with p-pump reliability, maybe a pdr cam? Very intriguing
