12 Valve Swap

Who has tried a 12V swap into a CR truck? What issues would I run into besides the location of the turbo, and are all the manifold to turbo flanges all the same? My CR is down, and if it comes to a complete swap I'm thinking I've had enough of all this electronic crap... time to get back to basics!

You might pm TSterner. He P-pumped his common rail. He may have some input on how to get your dash to work with a mechanical motor. Turbo location is only determined by the exhaust manifold. Just use a 3rd gen manifold.



Or better yet, why not do a set of twins while you're at it?

Jeff Garmon (if I remember correctly) did a 12v swap into a 3rd gen 1500 hemi, it was in the competition forum with pix and details of the build.
