Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 12 Valve @ the Rodeo!

Just installed 3ooo GSK, and "only" in third gear the truck wants to buck out of control while towing 8000*. retainer is set to 0. 052 thousands and drives perfect unloaded. Any thoughts?

Go back in and set them at initial plus 2 clicks. Make sure your first initial click is when you barely feel it.

Make sure none of your throttle return springs isn't broken or missing. . . there's one that fails fairly often and I understand this can cause bucking.

I had a return spring broken. Really made it touchy under load. Now I unhook it unless I am towing. Makes for a softer throttle.

when I bought my '97, it had a 4k in it and the throttle return spring was long gone... wow, talk about impossible to drive smoothly!
