I have had my new ride for a week now, and it is an amazing truck. So much better than my 11 year old Duramax.

The good : ride, power, interior.
The bad : too many buttons, 68RFE shifts weirdly, LED's in some spots and incandescent in others.
The ugly : could have been sold 6 times over when it was sitting in the showroom so every one was trying to sit in it. Salesmen had their hands full shooing people away from it, and it still ended up with 2 scratches in it. Dealer is going to fix them though(as soon as I let them have it)

Ive been struggling with the 68rfe as well. It HAD a bad flare and hesitation before sliding into shifts. 3-4 and 5-6. It really drove me nuts. The new update worked very well to basically eliminate the flare. There is a very small one but not like it was before. Quite happy now. I agree with Cummins1298 comment but I don't think I should have to push 2 buttons just so my truck shifts properly. It does sort out the flare if you use TH button but i just want to drive it normally. These trucks have a habit of shifting too soon into a higher gear the necessary and you lug around town. Ive found that buy locking out 5 (selecting 4 on manual shift button) it is in the proper gear more often! You will love the truck it is a sweet ride. I love mine.

I with you could just leave TH and EB on at all times and turn off if you want.

I 2nd that why can't they program this thing to stay set the way you set it. The Engine break that is... I hate to have to hit the button every time, Some times the computer forgets to turn the button on for a few miles. Aside from that it's been a great truck for 18,975 miles...
