Slide In Camper problem with 3rd Generation

About 4 years ago I put a Kenmore Elite mini fridge(no freezer) in the slide out of my 5th wheel. All was good up till about a month ago. We found that the floor behind the fridge was all wet. It has never been wet before, we vacuum every other day and never noticed it before. So we figured something was wrong with it and we gave it to our neighbor for an outside fridge. We bought a new fridge, same brand but upgraded model. I put it in about a month ago and just noticed the floor is wet again behind it. Can't find anywhere it would be leaking. Talked to the neighbor and the old fridge hasn't leaked for him at all. I am totally baffled and any suggestions or comments would help. Thanks, Mike.

I'm sure it must be condensation as there is no water in the system. Your old one outdoors probably does not do this because the water evaporates before it can drip because of the outside airflow. Has it gotten humid receintly?

Roof Leak

Check for a roof leak especially around the refrigerator roof vent if you have one. The water does not drain straight down in the walls of the trailer. Leaks can result in wet areas quite aways away from the water source. Also do you have any water piping under/behind the refrigerator? Hope this helps Ken Irwin

The old one we had in here in Mesa, Tucson, Sierra Vista, AZ and Breckenridge, Evergreen, Central City, CO and Mojave, Irwindale, Oxnard, Santa Barbara, CA. We moved to CA about a year ago and noticed the leak about a month ago. There is quite a bit more humidity here. There is a tray mounted on the back of the fridge for condensation, but the tray is always dry. Maybe the tray is in the wrong place? I don't know. Every time I've checked behind there since, the floor is wet and the fridge area is dry. I don't think the pull out is leaking because it hasn't rained for a while here and I wet vacced it one day and dried it with a fan and two days later it was wet again. #!<:!!

Wow, what an awsome trip. I would have gotten as far as Breckenridge and never left.

Trip? Ya, right! It's all for work. We didn't want to leave Breckenridge either, but $800-1000 a month for lot rent is pretty steep.

If I could, I would never leave Tiger Run. 360 degrees of mountain views, two streams running thru the park, deer and elk feeding outside your trailer door. What more could one ask for?

Didn't you forget one... ... . Marana :-laf . . Where all good things happened... :D Move the fridge for a couple of days to another location and see what happens/put a small plastic tarp under it or you might be wet vacuuming again... .
