I have broken my throttle rod (the one with the 2 ends and the offset in the middle) on my 1994 P7100 pump so im looking for the part number for the entire assembly or multiple part numbers for all of the parts to complete a entire assembly.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

There is an updated kit for 94 and 95 trucks from cummins at that replaces the throttle linkage along with everything else but it does cost about 300 bucks. I just did the mod to a customers truck that had complealy worn thottle linkages.

Rob,

I had the recall done to my '95 and I was supposed to get the new metal ends instead of the plastic ones but the tech got lazy and didn't replace them. One of them finally broke and left me walking. I bought a new rod that now comes complete with the metal ends and had it installed, then talking to the tech that put it on, found out that they should have been replaced. He said he had several in his toolbox that he hadn't used and he would have given me one. The dealer that did the recall eventually, reluctantly, reimbursed me for the parts and labor.

Talk to a dealer tech and see if someone has a rod that they have replaced before you buy one. The complete rod was somewhere around $40 if I remember correctly.

Did you check to see if the throttle linkage recall applied to your truck and was done? If it applies to your truck and it has not been done then Dodge will do it for free. It's a safety recall.

Sorry I forgot to mention that the engine is in a 97 Dodge Dakota so taking it in for the recall really isnt an option, but it would be pretty funny to see the lookk on their faces when I tell them "I'd like to bring my Cummins powered Solid Axle Dakota in for a recall on the injection pump"

Rob

My next suggestion is to go to the dodge dealer and order what you need since they do sell the parts that you need individually.
