12V aux. plug no power?

Hi all, has anybody had there 12v plug stop working, the one on the dash on the passenger side. I have no power at the plug, also no power at #38 fuse which is a 20amp. I have tried checking plug and fuse w/key in on position and acc. and key off, nothing. Was running power inverter w/laptop plugged in. have done this alot. Was wondering if this has happened to somebody and what was problem /solution? thanks in advance ps I hate electrical gremlins.

The other day someone was commenting that the TIPM is "smart" enough to shut off circuits with excessive current draw. I wonder if that's what happened to you. Then the question is, how do you reset it? Maybe pull the batteries for half an hour or so?

Thanks rbattelle, I will disconnect the batteries today and try that, will let you know if that worked! later

rbattelle, disconnected the batt's, for 1hr. but it didn't work. Guess I'll look under the fuse box and see what's under there. thanks
