Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) 12v chatter

I'm still trying to solve my chatter issue on my 1996 12v took stethescope and it seems the noise might be comming from vaccum pump . Is this poosible or not possibly from injector pump . The truck is operating fine no lose of power any suggestions I have chcked the valves ok changed oil, and fuel filter?

How long have you had this 96? Its pretty hard to silence solid lifters. The 12 valve is going to have valve clatter. I personally label it as the sound of HORSE POWER!!!!

It seems everyone has their own definition of "chatter, knock, and noise", and this is a noisy engine to begin with. Read this to see if any suggestions, including the lift pump noise, fits your own symptoms:
