Just thought of an other , the linkage for the fuel shut solenoid , there is adjustment spec. for it , if its just at the edge of the adjustment , some vibration could pop it to the off pos.

I think the problem is the lift pump. I started the truck and pinched off the return line. The pressure only went to 30-32psi. I thought I have read that it should peg a 60lb gauge? Is it even worth doing a leak test? Im having a hard time throwing $160 at the truck for no reason, but I want it fixed too. What would you guys do?

The reasons are there , quit blowing off the test results , thats what testing is for , to show whats wrong , test pressure after LP , to see if overflow valve is good ,
Like any problem , there may , or may not be , more than one problem , but you need to fix them as you find them , not pick what you want & fix , thats if you want to fix with the least hassle .
I do not have the link [ on old dead computer ] but do a search for Performance diesel & injection , Marty Thompkins , MI , the last time I checked , it was just under $150 for LP , OFV & sh.

JFaughn,

I will replace the lift pump, and post back. The OFV has already been replaced. Thanks for your help.

How about the pressurizing the tank to find air leaks on the suction side & fuel leaks on the pressure side ?
The air leaks can cause low pressure also .
If you already have OFV , Marty Thompkins lift pumps were $95 .
But confirm with testing , using test above .
