Here's the pics. #ad

Here's the t-fitting for the fuel pressure gauge.

Overhead view, its easy to see the FASS return line where it tees in this one.

Here's what the FASS check ball and spring looks like, this is what you work with to change the pressure.

This is the brazed on fitting for the injector return. This is going back to the tank through a t-fitting in the return line from the overflow.

If anyone wants to know what the fuel pickup looks like. This is after I modified it.

Here's the bracket that comes in the kit after I modified it.

Here's the brazed fitting just past the overflow valve.

This is the stock FASS T-fitting as they tell you to install it in the instructions.

FASS install

Your install looks very professional How long did it take? I'm a little fuzzy on the benefits of FASS on our 12V's Could you enlighten me,thanks eg

The benefit was that I was having a lot of trouble with the stock system and figured I would spend as much or more tracking down the problem, but the problem may have been in the pickup in the tank. When I installed the FASS the pump was having trouble getting enough fuel through the stock pickup so I modified it (as seen in the pics).

Here's the fuel gauge sending unit that fails. Notice the double nut and spring. I modified this one over 2 years ago and still going strong.

Here's the modified fuel pickup. The black valve I'm holding was discarded as it was restricting fuel flow and I cut the bottom off to get more fuel to the pickup.

I hope yall enjoy the pics, have fun.

Can yall tell Gitchesum showed me how to post pics and descriptions :)

MDW,

I have a couple questions for you. What pressure do you have your system set at,and what is at under a heavy load? Thanks.

Bob

Currently 32psi.

When I had it upwards of 45+ the injection pump was making strange noises so I have more tuning to do. I'm thinking high 30's would be good.

I ran #6 feed line may have to change that to 8, 10 or 12.

Its not finished yet, still doing the wiring, soon I hope.

MDW, My little sisters 94 fuel gauge isnt working so im assuming it's the sending unit that your holding in the pic? What actually fails on them? And what does the spring/double nut do to fix it? thanks alot

You have to get a bolt and file it some.

What you are doing is replacing the center stud.

You will need a spring to hold the wiper arm up against the contacts as it moves.

And then double nut it.

Bear in mind you want to do this to a new sender, the old one is probably done for.

If you can get the people removing the bed is easy. 8 bolts and 2 wires connectors and lift.

Will the FASS on a 12V serve as a primer, i. e. eliminate the need to push the rubber primer button 500 times if you open up the fuel system to replace injectors, change filters, etc?

Yep :D

Ah yesss.

So, not only do you get all the intended benefits of the FASS but now you have easy priming :D and you ditch the stupid factory fuel filter which you need very small hands with two wrists on each arm to change.

Let's see... how much is that PrimeLoc filter relocation kit? $120? OK, $600 minus $120 = $480. Sounds like a deal to me. BTW, this expenditure justification equation is not original with me; have to credit my daughters for perfecting it.

Thanks guys.
