What are the best parts to use when putting together a 12v fuel system? Can a FASS 150 support 40 psi and 650-750 hp. The system is caped off with a race P pump and some dragon flow injectors.

I think Joe Donnelly was making 800hp on a stock fuel supply setup. May have used -AN fittings in place of the banjo bolts though.

IRC, we use the same lift pump as the 8. 3L C-series engines. Some have the P7100 also.

Trashdawg, there are two different ways to do this as i see it, you can buy a Haisley aux system and have it on a on/off switch and flip it on or set it up on a hobbs switch to come on at X amount of boost, or you can build an aux system from scratch with you own fittings, pickup, pump, filter ect. Leave the stock system in place for normal driving and use the aux for you high hp stuff. You will have to go into the banjo bolt of the fuel inlet and it's small so you'll have to run allot of pressure, or remove your pump and have the plugs removed for more fuel inlets... ..... there are 4 total and one has to be a return(overflow valve now is one) I have not perfected mine and might change it up a bit in the future.

I started with a Haisley system (2 years old) and just changed to a bigger pump(Aeromotive A1000) and now run 2 inlets, there isn't much to gain on the stock system as it's better and cheaper just to leave it in place... ... . if your wondering the fuel inlets to the pump are M14x1. 5 pitch thread..... helicoil installed, M16x1. 5 with it out!

thanks for the help, I am leaning towards removing all the banjo bolts and an aux system. I assume you run a one way check valve on the feed line from the aux pump.

Jim in your set up are you using an aftermarket fuel presser regulator if you removed the overflow valve?

thanks

some pics of the trans goodies :-laf

I run the A1000 with a check valve and still run a stock overflow valve, just shim it to the pressure I want!..... Banjo's are fine, were the pump meets the manifold you will be hard pressed to make a fitting and 90 degree clear.

Call the people that are building the injectors and/or fuel pump. If they can make it move the fuel, they should know how to keep the supply up. I would listen to the power vendor.

Talk to J. R. Adkins - he's got a couple Aeromotive systems that are top notch. The little one should be more than enough for you... :)
