12v Ign-on wire for guages HELP QUICK!

I'm in the middle of doing guages for my O4. I need to tap into the wiring and get a 12volt (ignition triggered) source wire. I've got the orange w/white tracer for the guage illumination, but I'm struggling with the 12v - keyed on wire. HELP!!!!!!!

I think there should be a 14 guage wire black w/white tracer that carries current in the "run" position. It should be running down the column from the ign sw. Hopefully 04 is same, but who knows. If you can find one like that, poke a knife into it and check with a voltmeter. (key on of course)



Another spot (easier probably) is to tap into the line to the "cigar lighter" wiring. It cuts out with the key.



Not sure if the hot lead for the trailer controler is killed with the key. (may be hot all the time) it's in the blue connector to the left of the steering column under edge of the dash.

Thanks guys... . I will look into the light wire. I know that my accessory 12volt plugs in the console and center carrier are on all the time. I'll check the lighter... . sounds like an easy deal to me.
