For what it is worth I took the oil pressure switch out and put in a brass tee and put the pressure switch back and ran 6 feet of hose from the opening facing the fire wall to a 100 pound gage mounted next to the ash tray. Still got the chimes but a quick glance at the mechanical gage and I know all is well. Turning up the idle if it is too low will help but on a very hot day may still chime. It is easy to reach from the wheel well once the left front wheel and fender liner have been removed. USE A JACK STAND hydraulic jacks can NOT be trusted. A seal can go and then by by world. I found sitting on a stool under the fender a comfortable position to work. I also use this method of access to change fuel filters. If you can't re-use the fasteners for the fender liner Ace Hardware has hex head screws and fender washers, just tell them the hole size. 98 12v Quad cab short bed 2WD Auto Tran with after market torque converter and GV Overdrive unit. Horton fan clutch, rear stabelizer bar, steering dampner (looks like a shock absorber on the tie rod) Also a DSS and steering box replaced with a 3 turn lock to lock (eliminating a bad case of wander lust) Dodge had installed a 4 & 1/4 turn lock to lock and caused me 7 years of misery. Now it steers like a car. I am not one to call people names but Dodge has irritated many of us with their ignorance and desire to over charge for parts. REGARDS -- email address removed --
