13.20's with Caltrac's

These traction bars work awsome , they dropped 4 tenth's off my 60' times. Last time out , best I could get was a 2. 4 (60' )and a 13. 90 ET. Last night at moroso the best run with a 2. 0 (60') got me by far my quickest ET. 13. 23 @ 105. 30 , and theres still more in it. This is also with the stock HX 35 turbo.

I believe it will go a solid 1. 9 and this is on street tires , keep in mind this is a 2 WD truck a real challenge to get traction with when your'e making more HP. I would highly recommend these traction bars.

Thanks to Travis at Calvert racing for custom making the bars to fit, and thanks to Lujan Motorsports for the installation.

My only experience (which is very limited... ) with the Cal-Tracs has been positive. This was on a TDR member's 10-second GMC Syclone... . This truck has composite leaf springs (to save weight) so the Cal-Tracs (or any traction bar for that matter... ) were absolutely necessary.

The phone # 661-948-1490 ask for Travis , also thier website is calvertracing.com , sorry I hav'nt figured out how to ad a link to this post.

For some of us that may be a little less informed (maybe it's only me :) ) could someone please post a pic of what these look like. I am curious as to why these traction bars work so much better than others.

Thanks.

Got them in on Thursday, I'll try to install them tomorrow(Sat) after I get back from the dyno. Caltrack's are a really nice piece of gear, and yes I will take pics of them.

Good report so far Jim! Is the price on the website on the information page right? Not trying to pry your business, just wondering if it's that's anywhere near the ballpark. :)

Thanks,

Andrew

Not trying to pry your business That's a funny statement for you to make to me:p

$334. 00 with shipping, they come built with chrome moly tubing, huge hyme joints, bolts ect. and are powder coated black.

Just got back from the Dyno and the Oklahoma cold wind is blowing it's butt off so I'm going to take a nap then I might warm the shop up later and work on it, I have a 3 day weekend.

Nowel,

I was meaning a pic of them installed on our trucks. Why did you never use them?

If your really just looking to get rid of those things, I accept doantions, they would fit so nice to if they were made for your truck, 2wd, short bed and all. :D ;)

Well....

Mine need to be returned to Calvert to be corrected. They hadn't done any for out trucks at the time. They had me measure the axle (D80) at which time they realized they didn't have the right size flanges for under the axle. They ordered them from Dodge and then welded the bars up. Well the flanges were cool, but the spacers are set up for a 2" leaf, no 3"!!! Oooops:eek:

Well they understood and said send them back so they could fit the proper spacers. In the mean time my buddy built the bars we have been using and they work too well to take tnem off. My bars are a slapper style, diff from the Caltracs. We did a 1. 75 60' and maybe we will be quicker in the 60' with the Nos:cool:
