Competition Good luck Keith -

Competition Dyno cost?

Well, I did do it but it wasn't in my truck lol. Went to the Test N tune tonight. Hiperf 360 was racing his truck with his new transmission and clutch combo. He wasn't having to good of luck so he threw the keys at me. I eased her out of the beams and dropped the hammer. I knew it was going to be a good pass when I felt it spin the duals a little at the low end of 3rd. The new transmission is a little tight yet so the I let off to shift. The truck went 13. 76@96 with a shovel and some work supplies in the bed lol. The truck(01. 5 3500SLT+QC) wieghed in at 7400 last year

I gotta rub it in a little Jon... since I went the first 14 in your truck and now the first 13... I bet I won't be driving for awhile lol :D

The Wheelman

The Wheelman? Thanks dude... .

Thats okay I didn't have the nuts to drive it hard tonight, I'm tired of replacing the transmission...

But I was happy to see my truck run a 13 with stock fuel system, turbo and exhaust (replaced muffler).

I will play with it some more next weekend and shave some more time off of it; 13. 50's w/o an auto... . I think it will do it!

Thanks South Bend Clutch and Blue Chip Diesel!

Wow! That is incredible with a 7400 lb stick shift. With a high rpm turbo (like Piers' HX40) you'd easy get better.

Sure wich I could get my 7300 lb rig to move that fast.

Clark and Jonathon,

you guys are killin me here. That is flyin dudes.

For a 5 speed and the daully you have something to be proud of.

Don~

Great run and with a 5 spd. You mentioned replacing trannys, are they breaking? I have not seen trans breakage mentioned much here and these guys arnt easy on em.

Yes Deezul, the 5 speeds are getting broken pretty regularly by the big HP guys at the drag strip. Several of the big HP guys have gone to autos after breaking too many manuals. This is fairly recent, so we will see how the autos hold up and what the next weakest link is:eek:
