I am way :).

I was up in Washington last week and went to SIR(Seattle International Raceway)to run the truck. The first pass was a 14. 37 at 96. 96 and left the line at 3 lbs of boost. No tire spin. Then I tried 6lbs of boost and went up in smoke till half track. So I tried 5 lbs of boost and smoked them a little bit. 14. 57

So, I did the 4 lbs of boost and rolled into the throttle instead of matting it and did the 14. 17 all in stock trim and shell on.

The crowd that was there was first wondering what I was doing there with a Diesel but after a couple of passes I started to get a couple to come up to me and ask what I had done to the motor. Also the people in the stands gave me a thumbs up with the look of amazement.

Again, I would like to thank the boys and girls at DDynamics and DTT for all their help. I am also most completely satisfied but I need more power,:). Please understand I am totally satisfied with their service. Just need MORE POWER.

If you are going to do any mods I feel there is only 2 things you need to do, call Diesel Dynamics and DTT.

All these mods to my truck are OVER THE COUNTER PARTS. :)

Actually

Your speed secret is that SPA gauge!:)

Seriously, you should be quite tickled with that time and speed:cool:

Thanks everyone.

OK, Stock tires.

SPA Guages worth at least 5/10's, ;). hehehe

Weight, driver:285, wow, truck??????; Stockland camper, 400 lbs?????; rubber mat, 40lbs, GPS, laptop, 5 gallons of fuel, bag of Doritos, cell phone, cb, ???????

What does a 2wd, short quad weight?????

Tricks to transmission by DD call Keith, 702 897 6263

and a couple by DTT, I was there last Tuesday, one thing they did was the truck shifts gears at 2900 instead of 3100.

thanks for the interest

Gary

P. S. I have been told that the camper taken off is worth 2-3/10's.

13's here I come.

My 4x2 QC SB with 6-speed weighs in at 6800. :D

Minus a couple hundred for the AT, so you should be at about 6600. Add in your canopy, etc, and you should be about the same as me. \

14. 17 is killer... :D

Drag radials seem to be kinda shady anyways. But they do make a Mickety Thompson ET Street in a 26x11. 50x16 That would work

SIR is 1 mile away from my home as the crow flys

Next time let the NW BOMBers know when you visit our beautiful area :D

Boy we could have made one hell of a show ;)

Gary C, Great Fun Eh!

I know the feeling when you are in the Pits or Tech areas the other racers will hardly look at ya or you get a  .

Then you run a few 15 sec or better ET's and they start coming over.

What power enhancements have you done?

Your truck weighs how much? ( that question is usually from someone that is running his 5. 0 mustang that weighs around 3,000 lbs and he's also in the low 14's or 13's with nitros)

They find it hard to believe that almost all of the engine power improvements can be installed in one afternoon and your mileage increases, and you expect the engine to last 500,000+ miles.

The best part is that is at the end of the racing day- most everyone that ran in the 14's and faster are loading up their race cars on trailers for the tow home and I just snapped on the hubcaps & backed under the Fifth wheel then cruised on down the hyway. :D:cool:

Gary C,

Well first of all, a big double thumbs up from me. Congrats on a great day at the track.

Now for the part that amazes me..... I read your sig, and your truck is very close to mine. Do I read correctly that you are getting 460 horsepower to the ground??? I haven't dyno'd mine yet, but am guessing I'd be somewhere between 350 - 375 HP at best. I have been assured by some of the HP sultans that these 24 valved newer Cummins just won't go over the 400 HP barrier very much on #2 alone. I am just wondering if my truck might actually then be over 400 HP itself... ... ...

Oh, well. Again, congrats!!!

Tom

MY6EATSV8'S,

My 60' times sucked, 2. 20, I wish I had your's. Great job.

I am quessing my truck weighs, 6900 lbs?????????????

I had the truck dynoed at DD in Las Vegas and those are the correct numbers. When I was at DD there was 4 of us there with 460+ hp and One guy at 500 hp all on number 2.

Mods on truck are: Ultimate Box by DD, # TWO injectors, 4 inch exhaust, HX40 with 16cm, and transmission done by DD with all the DTT goodies.

The best part on this whole deal was all the Performance up grades took 5 hours(not the transmission thou).

Bob W. , I

I should have posted something on the board but my laptop took a dump. Next year I will be there at the same time with about 550-575 hp on Number 2. We will get together.

Also the fuel mileage was great, one tank, I got 22 miles to the gallon, I was averaging over 75 on the freeway.

Did the trip in 17 hours and 48 minutes for 1278 miles, you do the math. Only one car passed me for the whole trip back, a Ferrari.

PLEASE, everyone check the local events for the Dyno Day at Mech Tech, BE THERE, ty.
