Hey guys, new to the site and to Cummins Diesels(but have owned Dodge's all my life. ) My first question, I just bought a 1993 Club Cab diesel 4X4 and want to install a new turbo housing and exhaust brake. I have pretty much decided on the Pacbrake(any comments on this brake) but cannot decide which turbo housing I want. I think I would like to get the 14cm waste-gated housing, but am not sure if it will fit with the exhaust brake due to the 1 or 1 1/2 inches of extra length. Doesn't look like there is enough room between the turbo and firewall. Has anyone else done this, does it all fit. If not then I guess I'm stuck with the 16cm housing. I have already ordered the Banks Stinger kit, if I don't like it I have a friend who has already done a 4" system on a '93 4X4 maybe I'll try that out. Also anyone happen to have a 14 cm housing they would let go of. :) Thanks
 
I am running a Banks 14cm turbo with the BD exhaust brake right off the turbo and it works great. It was installed by Wentland Diesel in Milton-Freewater OR. They used a 2nd gen down pipe to re-route the exhaust and eliminate the double 90s in the old pipe. I also had them install 60lb exhaust springs. The result is a better preforming cooler running (exhaust temps) set up. I like the 14cm wastegate turbo because I can increase boost by adjusting the wastegate.

I just put a BD brake and a BD downpipe on my crew cab conversion. I have a 91. 5 motor. I put on a used 12cm housing I got for free. It only builds 12 lbs of boost right now and does not run as good as my 92 auto. I am going to turn up the pump next and see if I can get some more boost. I may go back to a 16cm if this does not work right.
