same prob i had. loose wire comp and dd2s my egt was higher than i liked at 7 to 9k foot elev and warm day on my 02 eth towing the tt. since i had the pac-brake i took al's recomend to swap stock turbo to a pdr35/16 [nonwastegated] hoping for a 150 degree reduction. well lemme tell ya that after nathan swapped turbos for me i hit the mnt and had to litterally pay more attention to pyro than road. that needle jumped to 1450 before i ould let up. shot up fast. hills that i would normally climb 75 w/ tt i had to downshift and do 55 with my pyro runnin 1350 with a light pedal. i wuz

. i couldnt use the truck. i expected a good reduction but instead recieved a big increase. a small short grade would be enuff to jump that needle up. no idea how hot it wouldve climbed. i nearly got into a wreck as i had to pay more attention to pyro than road. boost with comp on 1x5 and the dd2s was 32 psi. 28 or 29 w/ box off if i remember rite
well, i called piers and he did me right. got a pdr 40/16 and i sold the pac and got a bd remote from piers. got that 40 on there and tried the mnt

. i wuz a happy boy. cruzin temps w/ tt were higher than i like at nearly 1,000. a slight hill wld be 1100. a bigger hill it wld go reeeeeeaaaaaaalllllyy slow tween 11 and 1200 and even slower tween 12 and 1300. awesome. the higher cruzin towin temps of 1,000 dont hurt nuthin. hill climb temps were then reasonable. my eth was a good pullin rig then. appeared that power was up. dynoed 381/800 on 12/14. loosewire comp on 1x5 and dd2s with that 40. you NEED the pdr 40 on that eth. it worked for me kevin.
now it is strange the 14 is makin you so hot. many have good results w/ it. im glad i didnt swap the 16 for the 14. glad i went to the 40. piers said it was a mistake for al to sell me the 16 for my eth. works good on the 12v s.
i too cldnt hit 90 empty with the 35/16 w/o gettin pyro too high. since adding the 40 i could play all day at triple digit speeds and still have pyro reasonable. also turbo lag was not a prob. piers mods do work
now a ?. would lag be too great with the 275s [comp off]. if so its time to step up to dd2s if ya get the 40. also ya need the 40 to help ya burn the xtra fuel the comp gives in 5x5.
