I've been having this issues on and off where my head unit likes to change to AUX, then back to either XM or FM radio. It happens completely randomly and when it does it, it drive me up the wall..... I've tried upgrading to the latest firmware, but still have this problem... And being it's an input change, I'm thinking it's hardware or wiring..

Has anyone had this and was the dealer able to get it fixed? If you were able to get it fixed, what did the dealer have to do?

BTW, anyone know if the 14MY trucks w/AISIN have any ECM/PCM updates? The lag, from a stop or for passing/merging, is driving me nutz!! I feel like I've either got major turbo lag and/or it's not down shifting when it needs to... Last week, I was going up a small hill and punched it to pass... The truck struggled to gain speed, so I had to manually down shift it.... Which then took off like a rocket.

Thx!!

I've just towed my 5th wheel for 1900 miles with many hills and lots of passing. Never experienced any kind of lag as you describe. My 2014 was built on September 13 if that helps. (Friday the 13th!) Never had any program updates. When I step on it, it goes!.

At the rear of the console there is an 8 way grey connector. Disconnect that and see if the problem goes away. It may be the Media Port in the console. Just a thought, disconnecting it may make it stay on AUX all the time. If it does, it is still in the Media Port or wiring.

I've got the front bench seating.... Where would be 8 way connector be?

Thanks!

Where is the media port? in the glove box? Or post the last 6 of your VIN and I can look at the wiring specific to your truck.

The media port in the the center jump seats back... You know that thing that acts as an arm rest, when not used as a seat.

Here's the last 8.. EG122265

When you check, can you see if there's any new flashes for the truck? I'm hoping Ram has something to help deal with this lag...

I really wish they would have offer a lower gear set for the SRW trucks. These 3.42s are terrible!

Sorry this comes out distorted. Can't seem to get it correct. I do not know if you have a flash unless I know what your current software level is. Your truck is not involved in the RRT for a bunch of updates that was also referenced.

Thanks!! Image is fine, but the pic shown isn't the bench seat... Can I assume that the wiring should still be same, but routed slightly differently?

I have the same issue with AUX switching and have not read of a dealer fix on any of the forums. I was able to stop mine from switching by plugging a AUX style cable into the port. I do not have any devices hooked up to the cable. Once I plugged the cable in, I have not experienced the random switching. Not a fix but better than having a dealer service tech dig into it.

Do you have anything plugged into the USB ports? Maybe when the phone charging via USB, its seeing something there so it looks for media. I use my 12V charger and plug it in there in stead of the USB ports. I do use a USB stick and when thats plugged in it will look at it upon start up.
