Hey Pthomas, where in NJ? I kinda been wondering the same about the timing, so I thought I'd post and bring it to the top. Todd

Hey there brother Jerseyites. :D I'm in Toms River.

I dont think it would be too much different.

If you do a lot of highway, and/or have 4. 10's, I'd go 16.

If you do stuff mostly around town, 15. 5.

It's all just a preference. I dont believe it would be a noticable difference.

Where you getting it done, and how much $$$?

Eric

doing it myself!

Ive been working alot on my 12v and have learned plenty. From now on i will be doing my own mods. along with those amazing engineer's parts from Piers,DD and TST. (cant forget thier hard work!)

I have invested alot of time and TOOLS to diagnose and adjust/tune the 12v and the P7100.

been a tech since 85 and i love to learn! so ill let you know how it all goes,

Maby i could help out some fellow NJ bombers. . ;)

Im in the morriscounty area.

Morris Count area huh, just around the corner. I just bought a 2nd CTD. This one will be my learners truck. I just need to get a few tools. I want to be able to adjust my own timing and valves. If you plan to do yours soon let me know. I'll come down and learn a thing or 2. Maybe even help a little. Todd

Id love to get some more feed back on some different inj/time adjustments and results. ive heard some of you guys are running 20+deg?

If you plan a bombing party, please drop me a note. I've been wanting to bump up my timing for a long time, and I'm never available for any of the KDP partys. Always working.

I went to school for auto mechanics (a looong time ago) so I have some mechanical aptitude, and tools!:D

bombs awayyy!!!

That sounds real tempting,

Ill be bracket racing on saturdays at island dragway and E town on sundays. not my truck but a 68 charger. The truck sometimes... . :D

I got some input from some past posts and 15 or 15. 5 is just about right for what i do with it and my average RPM range. Boy i sure wish there was a way to adjust timing with just a turn of the pump case instead if the gear pull. hmmmm... .

Off topic, just a little :D

I almost bought a 67 Chrysler 300 convertable the other day.

It needed a complete resto, but would have been sweet! 440 !!

Eric

PS It was $300. 00!!!

had a 67/300 in high school

WOW what high school a flash back!

My first car was a 67 300 with a 440 i got for 400 bucks 60k orig miles . the owner couldnt afford the gas to drive him back and forth to colledge ,he thought it was a 383 but i saw the C440 on the block and knew it had the 915 heads.

man i thought it would suck the hood thru the carb what a thrill!

when the parents got devorced i had nowhere to store it and my father sold it

so whens the bombing party gonna start?

I got some great ideas!:D

Piers likes them at 16, good safe number. Above 16, you are taking chances with the stock head gasket.

Some racers are running as high as 30, but that is a tad much for the street.

Pthomas, got your message, didn't get a chance to call ya! Bombing party? When? I'd like to bump the timing on my 97. When Autowurks did it back in Aug of 98 they said it was at 10. 1 and they brought it up to 13. 5 That was back when I didn't know squat about diesels. Check my sig for the trucks specs. It could use some 370's and GSK, but now that I got a 2nd CTD I might make that one the extreme guinea pig. I don't know..... too many decisions. Oo. Todd
