The Howes stuff I got is their "Diesel Treat" - and the info on the bottle front is where the "treats 750 gallons" statement is made - on the back (as I recall) was another statement that for "extra" protection, a double dose could be used - I think other makers usually also make similar statements - the Howes bottles I got are half-gallon size - 64 ounces...

Read all the print on the back, you'll see what I'am talking about.

If there's no need for winter anti-gel protection Howes is inexpensive and good stuff.

YUP - the DELO I last bought for about $1. 50 a quart is now well over $2 a quart - sure glad I bought 3 cases of the stuff - and yeah, the famed "diesel advantage" as to economy of operation and long life vs gas engines steadily erodes as the gassers get increasingly longer lifespans, and diesel fuels steadily lose their natural life extending lubricity...
