I am ordering my gauges for my 2001, and need to know if the Autometer 15psi gauge is going to read high enough psi for my stock lift pump. (I think the 100 psi will not be accurate for the 24V model cummins, or does Autometer have another guage, Part number???) Ordering Ultra-light gauges to match my sivler Cummins. .

Thanks for any input.

For a stock truck, 0-15psi should be fine. go to www.autometer.com and look at styles and sizes. I am using a 0-35psi boost gauge as a fuel pressure gauge since there is nothing between 0-15psi and 0-100psi.

This is 'gonna end up like the wastegate topic:(

Notice that some TDR... . think that includes you, EMD:) ... are saying the senders may not hold up if psi goes 4lbs. or so over the gauge limit ?? I've got a 0-15 electric autometer ordered, but it's not going on my truck until I get a clear answer to this. I am sure I want an electric gauge, so if this theory is true, my only option is 0-100, and that's just not practical. I have a lead on a VDO electric 0-30, but haven't pinned that down.

I'm gathering that bombed trucks will make more pressure?? Or, are we just talking about "stock" lift pumps only, i. e. , no pushers, etc. I need clarification on this, please.

Thanks... .
